About

When I started dating my husband Robert, I could not read his love letters and always made fun of him when he used the wrong but quite similar words in some situations. I wasn’t aware that his Dyslexia and his struggle to sustain attention were the reasons he would display a great sense of humor and act silly so that other people would laugh. I married him ignoring the fact that Dyslexia is an inherent trait. Few years later everything made sense and I found myself reading and learning as much as I could just to help my son Gabriel learn how to read, spell, express complete ideas and maintain focus. I read about teaching him using a systematic, structure, sequential and multi-sensorial program for readers and having no clue what the terms meant. After all I graduated from a master’s in environmental health and those terms made no sense to me.

One thing was for sure my son was going to learn, and I was going to get all the required knowledge to teach him, that is when I decided to become an educational therapist. As an educational therapist I have the joy to work with different kind of learners and finding the key to use their strengths to help them become successful and happy learners, that is my main goal with all my students. From math phobias to dyslexia, every child has a genuine desire to learn, to have fun while learning and to be recognized for their strengths and skills. My main target is that all my students develop an empowering learning mindset..

Robert always makes everything funnier!
